| thimbee's Full Review: Apple MacBook Pro 15.4 in. (MA601LL/A) Notebook |
I had very specific needs when purchasing a new laptop, this year. I can certainly be considered a laptop newbie, but have been using a computer at work for years so am pretty savvy with all MS programs. I expected that there would be an adjustment period between the two platforms, but I breezed right through and quickly adjusted.
If you are the creative type, wanting built-in programs for photos, website builder, music/studio recording, movie editing... this mac has it all. Tutorials are good, but the mac discussion groups have all the answers! Those forums can help you through ANYTHING.
I bought the glass-type screen and have had no problem with glare. Once or twice at night, perhaps...in 6mo period.
I purchased the MS mac software so I could still use Word, Excel, PP, Outlook... but honestly, I haven't used except for Word. It was a comfort / fear thing!
No spam, no pop-ups, no viruses... it recognizes almost any device instantly, I was told "it just knows" how to connect to plugged-in devices and found this to absoultely TRUE. Like magic. I LOVE LOVE LOVE MY MAC!!!
