Yes, it does look sexy. It looked so good that I bought it at a premium price, and I don't even own an Apple PC! Besides showing off LCD-like colours, the picture is also surprisingly crisp and clear - for a CRT. So if you're too poor to buy that LCD, but still want the picture, this monitor is probably the best compromise.
Unfortunately, this monitor's display geometry has much to be wished for, and it seems in Apple's attempt to squeeze in a 17" flat screen in such a small package, something was omitted. Even after hours of fidelling with the multitude of digital settings, I was unable to square off the edges of the display with the border of screen and at the same time keep the vertical lines inside the display undistorted.
I thought I was the owner of an anomally, but having gone back to the shop to check the other monitors, I found to my surprise that they suffered the from the same distortion effects.
Obviously I am somewhat of a perfectionist, but at a premium price over similar monitors, I do expect a little more than just a fancy casing!
