We purchased Apple & Eve Juice at either Sam’s Club or Costco. It’s a huge pack of juice boxes. But, they work great for daycare or preschool food days or just general juices for the home. Our daughter enjoys the juices, but she likes the Very Berry juice the most of all.

The Product

This juice box is 6.75 fluid ounces and it states it is 100% juice with no sugar added. With this in mind, let’s look at the nutritional value of this juice. The information presented is from the juice box itself and is based upon 1 serving size, which is the box of juice!

These values above are based upon the standard 2,000 calorie diet. Their box does state that they pledge 100% juice: No sugar, corn syrup, artificial sweeteners or preservatives are added!

This juice is pasteurized for added safety. When I found out I was expecting, I wanted some juice to drink during the day and I only wanted pasteurized products. In juices, you have to be cautious, because not a lot were pasteurized. But, this brand was and I bought quite a bit of it during those 9 months!

The flavor is very rich and has a wonderful berry flavor. The size is just perfect too. It’s not too much of a good thing and it’s not too little.

You don’t have to refrigerate until the juice box has been opened. But, I have to have my juices cold, normally. Room temperature doesn’t seem to do it justice!

The juice box is very sturdy and carries well in my lunch bag and I have not had any problems with the straw wrapped in plastic falling off the juice box like I have had with others.

At times, it seems a bit difficult to get the straw poked through the seal to start drinking the juice. I think that is just because the straws are made pretty dull so children using them won’t get hurt and that makes it a bit harder to poke into the foil.

The juice, per the box, is made from juicy, sweet raspberries, strawberries, pears and apples and it is fortified with calcium and full of a day’s supply of Vitamin C! Who can’t use more vitamins and or calcium each day?

As with any juice box, you have to be careful not to blow in the straw, filling the juice box with air (especially if there is still juice in the box), otherwise, you will have to drink quickly or be sticky with the juice that squirts out all over the place!

If you do not drink your juice and it warms up to room temperature and you, obviously, had inserted the straw, it can begin to drip some, so watch for that if you or your child does not drink it all right away!

If you decide to cut the juice box and use a sippy cup or a regular cup, the color is a medium amber color (meaning there is quite a bit of apple juice and pear juice, in my opinion) with a splash of strawberry and raspberry.

Overall Impressions

The juice, to me, smells a bit like pear touched by apple, but my taste buds say more apple flavor. The strawberries and raspberries give it just the slightest berry flavor, but it is a good mixture.

It is refreshing and light, and as mentioned earlier, the juice box is just the right size. If you are looking for a decent priced juice with a good toddler sized juice box that is not floppy like a “juice bag” and is pasteurized with no added sugars, you should check out this product.
