With the addition of the new 17inch widescreen iMac to the lineup Apple has once again hit a grand slam. It is hard to improve on an already impressive product, but Apple has managed the impossible.
The new iMac with the already installed OS X defined what computing excellence should be. The iMacs tiny footprint not only frees up desk space allow for greater productivity but it's design alone seems to inspire creativity.
The iMac is a dream to use, OS X is by far the most superior OS on the market and with the iMac it blends perfectly. With enough power to run even the most intense design and editing programs the iMac never let's you down.
OS X comes standard with numerous features and programs that once you have used you find it hard to believe that you lived without them. From the new iCal, to iTunes and iMovie, the iMac is a featured loaded powerhouse.
Don't be deceived by the small look of the machine, because within that brilliantly designed white case is a plethora of power. Nothing has been forgotten in this little masterpiece.
When using Photoshop 7 or Final Cut Pro the little iMac never even slows down for a second. Always loyal and always reliable the little machine never seems to blink. Equipped with the Superdrive it even makes DVD authoring as simple as surfing the web, thanks in large part to iDVD.
If you are in the market for a new computer, then look to the iMac. Once you use the iMac and OS X for more than five minutes you will begin to wonder why in the universe the archaic seeming Windows XP even exists. The iMac is a far more reliable and competent performer than any PC could be. In addition, the genius of Apple spared no expense in making sure that you not only got a great product but a very attractive one too. Put as many neons as you want in your dinosaur PC, but it will never equal the smooth design and performance of the 17" iMac.
