The 1GHz iMac is the most recent iMac released by Apple, and is their best home computer to date. It is a breath-taking machine. From the HUGE and bright 17" screen to the speedy processor to MacOS X, everything any home user (and many business users) need is right there in a brilliant package.
The bundled applications, iTunes, iMovie, iDVD are the top of their class, and Mac OS X really is the best OS out there. Period. Stable, quick, easy, powerful. Want to run a heavy duty web site with SQL databases and cgi scripting? Easy. Want to manipulate those photos of Grandma's birthday? Easy. Want to make a DVD for class? Easy. Java programmer? Perfect.
Whatever you want to do on a computer, this iMac will take it in its stride.
This is the best computer purchase I have ever made ? Everyday, I say 'Oh, cool' when I learn something new, or see the iMac blast through some Photoshop manipulations.
