Pros: Light, Great Display, fast, Aqua interface, Great with Audio & Graphics, built in wireless card
Cons: No S-Video output, not compatible with all printers
The Bottom Line: Buy it. If you can try to use an academic/educational discount like I did, it shaves a few hundred dollars off the price. It is a quality machine.

| dakinemon's Full Review: Apple PowerBook G4 12.1 in. (M8760LL/A) Mac Notebo... |
As a PC user for many years I have been partial to the once superior windows machine. However, with the introduction of the new powerbook line I have been swayed back to Apple.
Graphics:
The Apple display is one of the best that I've seen. Pictures look fantastic, videos are crisp, and text looks smooth. The 12 inch display really seems to work well, I thought that it might be a bit small at first, but I have gotten used to it. The Aqua interface of Panther is great, and provides all of the accessibility functions that I need, along with speed and functionality.
Sound:
Songs don't seem to freeze or skip when multi-tasking like with PC's sometimes. Also, I know for a fact that some industry music execs use Macintosh software to do recording in their studios (I've actually used the equipment in their studios). Although I have done very little with audio editing, I can say that the sound quality from these machines is excellent. I would like to see an easier way to import your own sounds to use as system sounds, as I cannot find an easy way to do this.
Battery:
I have had the powerbook for about 4 months and the battery is great. I can use it for about 4 before I will have to plug it back in again (make sure that you turn off things you might not be using such as Bluetooth and Wireless Networking).
Compatability:
For the most part there are no issues with compatability. The main problem I encountered with this was when I tried to hook up my old printer. It used a printer port (which are not on powerbooks, only on PC's) so there was no way for me to plug it in. I could have bought a USB -> printer port compatibility converter but there was no software for my printer for OSX. I had to purchase a new printer (Canon i560, $70) which the cost was minimal, and the printing was far superior to my old HP Deskjet.
Overall:
I would give this notebook a thumbs up. My last notebook was PC notebook which after 2 years does not work, so that's why I bought this one. Already the powerbook has had less problems in the first 4 months than my old compaq notebook did in its initial reign, and is a pleasure to use.
