Pros: No anti virus software needed.
Cons: Hands get uncomfortable if typing for a long period of time.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend the iBook G4 or any MAC computer because of the ease of use and because you don't have the virus concerns.

| loise's Full Review: Apple iBook G4 14.1 in. (M9848LL/A) Mac Notebook |
We had Windows systems for 10 years before we went with MACs. My husband was the first to jump the Windows ship. He got an iBook G4 and he loved it so much I bought my daughter and I one. I've had mine for about a year and a half. I haven't had one problem with it. It just works. There was a small learning curve getting used to MAC, and I mean a really small learning curve. It took me about an hour to get used to it and I'm slow to get used to new things, especially electronics. I don't have any virus scanners, firewalls, or spyware protection because it's not necessary. I like the white appearance of it with the Apple that lights up on the front of the lid when it's opened too. I think the iBook G4 is the least expensive of all the MACs and it does everything the more expensive Windows computers we had before did. For $1000.00 I have a small portable computer that suits all my needs from word processing to web surfing to my photographs. I can't say I'd never go back to Windows due to the difficulty of being able to work at home without a Windows based system but I really don't want to. I love MACs so much I wish they were more universally used.
