Pros:Good sound
Cons:Earbuds are uncomfortable causing ears to ache, also fall out during activity
The Bottom Line: If you get a new ipod you need to buy a more comfortable headphone because the ipod ones just aren't worth the aches and pains.
Once the ipod video started coming out, Apple started making these new headphones that were shaped a little differently. I can't exactly explain it with words but the bud just doesn't fit as comfortably in the ear and it doesn't stay in as well. I find that after less than an hour of wearing these headphones my ears start to ache really bad and this is without laying or sleeping on the headphones. I now use the headphones from the earlier ipod generations because they fit much better and are much more comfortable. Apple needs to rethink the design of their headphones so that the earpieces are much more comfortable such as using more padding. Second, they need to make them fit snugger in the ear so that they don't fall out while walking, running, or just performing physical activity. I guess the good thing about these headphone is that they still produce good sound, but at the expense of comfort/pain. Sometimes I find myself turning the buds upside down in my ears to alleviate the discomfort and pain, but it still comes back eventually. The cord also gets in the way, but of course that is expected with headphones so I just usually run the cord up my back and under my shirt while I'm running. This prevents myself from hitting the cord and popping the ear buds out during activity. I would definitely recommend buying a different pair of headphones after you buy the ipod because its definitely not worth the pain.
