My Epinion on the iPod Nano 2GB
Personally, I love my iPod Nano. It's a cooler version of the latest technology in music. It's small and portable and holds quite a few songs. Currently I have 380 songs a multiple pictures on mine and I still have free space!
I received the iPod Nano as a Christmas gift last December after begging for a MP3 player to take with me to the gym. I could not have asked for a better gift.
With all of the accessories available now for the iPod, it's sure to meet all of your portable music needs.
Additional Products
Almost any website or discount store you walk into now days has iPod accessories. They available for any budget.
For example, my favorite accessory is the arm strap. This nifty lighweight strap hold any size iPod around your arm for convienience while working out, running, playing sports or even cleaning around the house. Also available is the docking station. This comes in many sizes and ranges from a small two speaker player that sits on your desk to an all out home surround sound system.
I guess the best part of an iPod is how easy it is to find accessories at an affordable price, whereas, other MP3 players may only offer a few products that you have to buy direct from the manufacturer at a much higher price.
What is It?
Just in case you've been living under a rock, I'll tell you exactly what an iPod is and what it does. Remember the days of the Walkman? Who doesn't? Those were wonderful times. But how awkward was it to be working out to your Jane Fonda videos with a huge Walkman tucked in your fanny pack?
Haha.. bring back memories? The point is, the iPod is pretty much the same concept. It's a way to play your favortie music and to take it with you anywhere you go. No more missing your favorite morning radio shows or songs because you have to go in to work. Take your iPod and docking station to your desk. If you aren't allowed to have music playing, plug in the ear phones.
The best difference between an iPod and a Walkman is the MP3's that you can add instead of carrying around CD's.
MP3's
Not very computer savvy? Worried that you may not be able to upload songs to this handy little gadget? Never fear. This is a very easy process. You can use your own downloading program or my personal favorite, the very easy to use Apple iTunes. Now Apple has made it easier than ever to upload songs. You have the option of ordering songs through iTunes at a very cheap price, downloading songs from your current cd's, or moving your current downloads through another program to iTunes. You simply drag your songs over to this program, plug in your iPod, and click on "Sync My iPod". It's as simple as that!
How does it Sound?
The iPod Nano has a clean crisp sound. The music goes very soft or very loud depending on your liking. As long as the quality of the MP3's is good, your iPod will play them very clearly.
How to work my Nano
The iPod is very simple to control. It has only 6 buttons. You have the play/pause button (it's pretty self explainatory). The left button, right button, menu button and the hold button.
Use the left button to go back to the previous song or to rewind.
Use the right button to skip to the next song or to fast forward.
Use the menu button to go to the menu where you have multiple options from listening to playlists, individual songs or looking at your pictures.
Ust the hold button for when you are listening to a song while running and don't want to hit a button and accidentally change the song. (This works like the "lock your keys" button on your cell phone). Also, for when you throw it in your gym back or purse and don't want it to accidentally come on a run down the battery.
Battery Life
The iPod has an above average battery life. It's very simple to charge. All you have to do is plug it into any standard USB port on your computer or plug it into one of your battery powered accessories. I simply plug mine into my computer at home before bed or while at work.
Just an hour or so of charging will give you a good eight hours of play.
In the end
In conclusion, I would highly recommend the Apple iPod Nano 2GB for any music lover or anyone in general who wants to have music accessable to them at all times.
This product is very inexpensive ranging from around $120-$165 (USD) at most retailers.
