sgail457's Full Review: Apple iPod nano 2nd Generation Silver (2 GB) MP3 P...
I have an Ipod mini, but got tired of never having it when I needed it. I should explain that I have a Bose speaker unit that I use it in most of the time. I also have an mp3 hookup in my car and at work. Call me lazy, but I got tired of moving my mini around, so I decided to get another.
They don't make the mini anymore and the shuffle is too small, so I went with the Nano. The mini holds 5 gig, but i have less than 500 songs on it, so I decided the 2 gig nano was sufficient as my alternate ipod. Its thiner and has both plugs on the bottom, so it will fit my car plug in better and will be smaller for using at work. I like it.
The set up of itunes was already on my computer, so all I had to do was plug the Nano in and tell it to sync with my library...done.
As others mentioned, it comes with the standard usb plug and earbuds. I looked at the shuttle, but it can't take a charger and play into the sound system, which makes it less attractive than the nano. 2 Gigs is 500 songs, so if you want to have a larger capacity, spend the extra $50 and get the 4 gig.
It may not have the radio like some of the mp3 players, but it stores more songs and seems more solid. My mini is 2 years old and has worked flawlessly.
