| seahealth's Full Review: Aquachek Select Pool Water Test Strips |
AquaChek Select tests for Total Hardness, Total Chlorine, Free Chlorine, pH and Total Alkalinity. (5 in 1 test strip)
Just dip an AquaChek Select test strip in your pool or spa water for one second and remove it immediately. You get results in a few seconds. All you do is hold it up to the panel that comes with the kit to match up the colors.
The AquaChek Select Kit includes a 24-page Pool and Spa Care and Treatment Guide with test log, 50 test strips and a reusable plastic color chart.
The manual is very useful because it helps to determine what you need to do to balance your pool water. It tells you what to do step by step and even helps you to figure out how many gallons of water you have in your pool. Each section tells you more about the different aspects of your water, what to use to re-balance the water and how much. If you can read this simple manual, then you can have crystal clear water all year. The information in the manual is imperative because when purchasing your chemicals to re-balance your water, you need to know how much to buy. This way you can save money and don't have to rely on a "pool guy" to do all the work. I have also discovered that some pool guys don't check everything that these test strips check. So if you don't know what is going on with your water, you could end up with some very expensive equipment repairs since some aspects of water can damage your pool equipment or render it useless. I couldn't imagine using this product without the manual. Someone even ruined my first one, so I think I ended up buying it all over again. That is how helpful it was to me.
The AquaChek Select Refill Kit contains a refill bottle of 50 test strips, plus a new insert for the reusable color chart.
Youll find this an economical way to test both pool and spa water. To keep your pool at its best, test at each end of the pool a minimum of twice a week, and test your spa before each use.
Its also a good idea to write down your results each time you test.
All in all, even though these strips cost more, the extra information it tells you about your water and keeping your equipment in tip top shape is worth the investment.
