Pros: Great quality pump that lasted me 3 years in FW and SW, with no problems.
Cons: None, but for only 2 dollars more, go with the Hagen 30.
The Bottom Line: A great quality line of pumps that are easy to clean and run quiet. The 20 is great for 10 gallons or less, 30 for more than 10 gallons.

This pump is now called the: Hagen AquaClear 20 Powerhead.
If you are in the market for a small aquarium powerhead then this is one of the best small pumps out there. While designed to help undergravel filters, it is also good as a standalone powerhead. It comes with several extra attachments that most smaller powerheads don't include.
I bought 3 powerheads for my 29 gallon and 10 gallon FW tanks 4 years ago: 1 Hagen 20, 1 Rio 400, 1 Maxijet 400.
The Rio400 started having problems after 6 months and quit working completely after 1.5 years. I would recommend to stay away from Rio pumps.
The Maxijet400 continues to function, but it does not push as much water as the Hagen 20.
The Hagen 20 functioned VERY well for 3 years. I used it for SW for a year before deciding to sell it as I upgraded to the 30.
The Basics:
Recommended for 5-20 gallon aquariums. Pumps up to 126gph. This pump may be perfect for a nano tank of 10 gallons or less because the water movement won't be overwhelming in such a small tank. But anything over 10 gallons I would recommend the 30 pump for the increased water flow.
Summary:
The 20 has great features and the directional flow nozzle is great and spreads out the water jet. The venturi nozzle is pretty quiet and increases tank aeration(always a good thing). Great quality, but for only 2 dollars more, get the 30 if your tank is larger than 10 gallons.
I would not recommend buying this pump as for only 2 dollars more you can get the 30 and the difference in water movement is considerable. The 30 is basically identical, just has a stronger motor and is slightly bigger.
