Pros: It obviously protects your skin
Cons: Its greasy and does not get absorbed in your hands
In my trials and tribulations in hand creams for my rough, dry and cracked sand paper hands, I came across another Eucerin Product. I had already used and wrote about Eucerin Plus Intensive Repair Hand Creme, and I love that product. On The Eucerin Aquaphor Hand Cream, the words HEALING OINTMENT stood out, and I bought it.
Aquaphor Healing Ointment is for dry, cracked or irritated skin and it boasts that it is clinically proven to restore your skin. What it doesn't tell you is that it is like vaseline, and it never goes away on your hands. You have to wipe it off, or cover your hands when you go to bed. Its not a nice feeling, and it gets all over everything you touch.
The active ingredient at 41% is Petrolatum. The other (inactive) ingredients are mineral oil, ceresin, lanolin alcohol, panthanol, glycerine and bisabolol.
I do think that this product would be better served on dry lips, or some part of the body that would be covered after use. It probably could be used for dry cracked feet, with socks on at bedtime, and I will try it for that reason, but it is definately not an cream for my sand paper hands.
