I have a friend who started selling Arbonne products. If you don't know, the concept is similar to Avon, or Tupperware. Pretty good stuff, that is only sold by 'Consultants', you know, like Mary Kay.
I had little need to try anything new, as with my delicate skin, I don't often take chances with my facial regimen. So. I chose this Herbal Foot Care cream, so that I could make a purchase and try her products! (Always support your friends!)
To my surprise, I actually liked it better than the Body Shop Peppermint Foot cream I had been using, however, it's not the greatest product on the market for feet, but for the money, it's pretty good. (I have since discovered the best product for feet, at $22 a jar, but I'll save that for another review.)
The Arbonne product originated in Switzerland, where it was established in the 80's I believe. The 'Swiss Botanicals' slogan seems to come to mind here, however, St. Ives does it a lot cheaper!
The cream consists of aloe, menthol, eucalyptus and thyme, which combine to create an invigorating cream! Of course, it will do you no good at all if you don't exfoliate first, so make sure you do, or you're just wasting your time! The aloe serves as a moisturizer and restorative elixir for just exfoliated skin. Menthol and eucalyptus, essentially don't do too much, except to invigorate, and create a nice sensation on your toes and heels.
The cream is quickly absorbed, and isn't greasy at all. It does work on your feet, just before putting on panty hose in the winter, or before heading out to to the beach in summer.
As for myself, I use a foot scrub in the shower, to exfoliate my heels and toes, usually once or tice a week. When I shower in the evening, I will get out of the shower, and apply the cream to my feet, before donning a pair of clean white cotton socks. This way, the cream is sure to absorb, and re-absorb, and I will awaken with soft supple feet.
Don't neglect those feet, girls! Yukky feet with calloused heels and nasty peeling skin is way gross! This cream was about $13 for a rather small tube, so the price was expensive, and like I said, you can do better for less money with a St. Ives product. The scent is nothing fabulous, and I really didn't notice any great improvements over my Body Shop Peppermint Foot cream, other than it was less greasy, and smelled better. Just realize that isn't saying much, because I didn't care for the Body Shop cream!
In short, if you have to buy Arbonne from one of your friends, and you need foot cream, then go for it. But I wouldn't seek out a consultant for this stuff alone.
