I love it when I try a new product and end up falling in love with it. You will fall in love with Arbonne's Thick-It Lash Enhancer too!

Actually, I probably would have never even thought of purchasing this item for myself, but it was the Arbonne Autoship Program's free gift of the month. It arrived with my box of goodies, in a white cardboard sleeve (most of Arbonne's products look rather generic but they work wonderfully).
So I'm thinking, "Wahoo! A new makeup toy just in time for hubby's company dinner party". Nothing like a fancy occasion to test out new cosmetics! *wink* Arbonne claims that Thick-It Lash Enhancer will separate and thicken lashes without heaviness or clumping.
The instructions for use are:
"Apply to clean lashes BEFORE mascara application. Allow 30 seconds for drying, then apply desired shade of mascara. When applied properly, lashes will appear slightly white. For EXTRA thick lashes, apply twice before applying mascara, allowing each layer to dry 30 seconds."
... so I did exactly that. Naturally, I applied TWO coats because I want EXTRA thick lashes, ya' know. -grin- Yep, my lashes were definitely white (must mean that I used it correctly) and I was hoping that my mascara was going to cover that up.
I dont know why I had any doubts - my mascara went on flawlessly! I only had to use one coat of mascara (shhh! I didn't even use the Arbonne brand) and my lashes were full, separated, and lovely! Absolutely no clumping ... exactly as they claimed. I love how the Thick-It left my lashes soft and feathery, unlike the effect you get with a few applications of regular mascara ... that hard, flaky result. Now that I know the lash enhancer works so nicely, I will definitely be purchasing their mascara!
I felt great going out that night (OK, not *just* because I had gorgeous lashes - my new pretty silk blouse had something to do with it *wink*) and I've been using Arbonne Thick-It ever since!
The Arbonne Thick-It Lash Enhancer comes in a .25oz, dark green tube. The bristles on the wand are soft (the brush is not curved) and the product is white. I don't believe the product is available in it's own package any longer, but I know you can purchase it as a Lash Color and Thick-It Duo - Lash enhancer on one end, Mascara on the other.
Update Jan, 2004 - It has been a while since I wrote this review. Since then, I started using the Arbonne Lash Duos. The Thick-It (sold separately) was discontinued and the Lash Duos took it's place.
I can honestly say that it is the best mascara I have ever used! Apply the Thick-It Lash Enhancer and allow about 30 seconds to dry, then apply the Arbonne mascara. I usually apply 2 coats, but you can apply more and it will not clump. Lashes look long, feathery, soft and naturally beautiful with no flaking.
I recently saw that Loreal came out with the same product, called "Double Extend", so I bought it in order to compare it to the Arbonne brand. Like Arbonne, Loreal's version has the white lash "extender" on one end and "magnifier" (mascara) on the other. The application directions are the same with both brands.
After the first step of applying the Loreal "extender", I could tell that there was a big difference between the two brands ... the Loreal "extender" dried hard and crispy; the Arbonne "Thick-It" does not - it remains feathery. It was difficult to apply the Loreal mascara over the top of the crispy "extender" and I got clumpy results.
The Loreal Double Extend mascara, on it's own, isn't bad but their lash extender falls short. It can't even compare to Arbonne's product.
