My husband and I stayed here a little over a year ago. We were SF Peninsula locals, and had heard good things about the Argonaut. We did research to find the lowest cost, and got a relatively reasonable deal with a breakfast & cable car ticket package.

With that being being said, we cannot say enough about how we love the Argonaut!

Good things about the Argonaut:

Location, location location! We love riding the cable cars and this is right next door. Plus it's within walking distance of fisherman's wharf and right across the street from the Maritime Museum. Be sure that you get a room overlooking the bay - Extremely picturesque! We had a prime view of the Maritime Museum and Alcatraz

Beautiful decor: we loved the modern nautical look!

Excellent service: from the time that we dropped off our car with the valet to the time that we left, we were extremely impressed with the professionalism of the Argonaut Hotel staff.

Having breakfast at the restaurant on site was convenient.

Not so good things:

Noise from the street (horns, people talking) all night - But in all honesty what else could we expect? We were in the city!

Breakfast that came with the package and service in their restaurant was so-so. We could've saved money and gotten a better meal at any sit-down chain restaurant. On the other hand, the only reason we got the breakfast / cable car package was for convenience.
