As I mentioned in my Armor All Protectant Wipes review I have become somewhat lazy when it comes to detailing my car. After I wash my car the last thing I want to do is perform even more work cleaning my windows using a conventional auto glass cleaner. Dealing with streaking, lint, etc. can be a big pain in the butt. Prior to using Armor All Glass Wipes I was using Armor All's conventional glass cleaner receiving very poor results. Are the glass wipes any better?

Armor All claims that this product will keep your windows looking like new. This product is also said to be totally streak free, and specially formulated for auto glass and is ammonia-free (I assume this means it's safe for tinted windows, though this is not indicated on the bottle).
Armor All Wipes come in a tube containing 25 perforated 7"x9" disposable wipes.
I have been totally unimpressed with Armor All's conventional glass cleaners, however the wipes seem to do the job much better and with much less fuss. One 7"x 9" sheet is usually enough to clean all the exterior windows of my 2 door economy car (two or three wipes are usually needed to do both the interior and exterior). If you own a vehicle with large windows, or have not cleaned your vehicle's windows for some time, you most likely will have to use quite a bit more (I have used almost 15 sheets while cleaning my Fathers conversion van's windows).
A huge problem with most window cleaners are the streaks left behind. These streaks can reduce visibility just as much as dust and other stuff that accumulates on windows. With Armor All Glass Wipes I have experienced some of the clearest windows since I have used my all time favorite auto glass cleaning product; Turtle Wax ClearVue.
Despite the bottle's literature not giving a clear recommendation on whether or not this product should be used on tinted windows, I have used Armor All Glass Wipes on my own tinted windows without experiencing any problems. I also have used this product on mirrors and small windows in my home with the same great results.
Another huge advantage going with a wipe versus a conventional spray is the fact that you will not have to breathe in all those smelly chemicals. So many times I will attempt to spray a glass cleaning product on my car's window only to have the wind blow it right back on my face, it can get even worse when cleaning the inside windows; not happening with Armor All Glass Wipes. Armor All Glass Wipes also make it easy to get into hard to reach areas of your car, such as the inside back windows. If you own a sedan and have tried cleaning your back windows with a spray then you know how messy things can get. With Armor All Glass Wipes there is no dripping or running.
Price and Availability:
Armor All Glass Wipes are widely available, they can be purchased at almost any drug, grocery, large discount or automotive store. The product runs for about $4.99 at most automotive/grocery stores, though it can be purchased at K-Mart or Wal-Mart for about $3.99.
Due to the relatively small amount of product you get for the price, you might consider going with a conventional auto glass cleaning spray if you own a large vehicle with lots of glass, as it makes economical sense. ClearVue from Turtle Wax works great if you are going to go that route. If you don't like spending an eternity cleaning your vehicle's windows, yet still want clarity, I highly recommend trying this product.
