My reason for purchasing this product is the same as always and that is to provide the valued users of Epinions with the best car care knowledge I can provide and I specially bought this product just so that I could review it for all of you Epinions users!
* Ease Of Use
This is actually very easy to use just spray it on and leave it for 60 seconds and then rinse it off. However it recommends use of a high pressure water stream to rinse it off and anyone washing their own car wont have water pressure as high as what is recommended at their house. The kind of water pressure that is needed it the kind you get from carwash hand sprayers! Other than the fact very few people will have high enough water pressure it is very easy to use! Although it does have an awful smell if it touches your brake discs while you are spraying it on. This smell is downright sickening it make you want to quit using it just because of the smell!
* Effectiveness
I have to admit I was very disappointed with this products effectiveness. Now I drive a 1997 Kia Sportage and IM sure you have seen Kias out there with almost black front rims and yes that brake dust and yes its normal but if you've seen one you know what I mean. This wheel cleaner made things worse for me. I applied it to the wheels on my car and followed all recommended instructions and I was appalled at the results! It actually made my brake dust harder to get off! When I tried to rinse it off it actually made the brake dust stick to the rims to the point where I couldn't even scrub the dust off with a rag or brush! I tried everything all I have now are blackened front rims with runs in them and I cannot get the dust off anymore! I have used this product on other cars and gotten the same effect I thought it might have been just that car but it happens on all the cars I have tried it on! I truly don't recommend this for use on anything except very light brake dust!
* Best Use
This Product is best suited for use on wheels with very light brake dust deposits, slight dirt on the rims or in places where you can get a rag or brush on your rims! Just be forewarned that if you use it on heavy brake dust deposits it will make them stick to your rims!
* Overall Satisfaction
Overall I would have to say I am very disappointed in this product I seriously thought that since it was from ArmorAll it would be a very high quality product like all of their others but this is definitely a disappointment as hard as it is to do i DO NOT recommend this wheel cleaner at all! It makes your life much harder than it should be I would have been much better off just wiping the dust off with a rag than using this cleaner!
