So often I turn corners and find these incredible efforts underway and issues we just don't even consider or realize even exist. All we can do is share.

I'm unfamiliar with Cassium Clay (is that green clay?). This book is highly informative and I recommend it for all artists, professional or hobbyists.

Have you heard of Cassium Clay that people can eat for its high calcium? It's from a distant place where people live a long time, but they also eat lots of apricots and their seeds...Anyway, my birthmom loves to paint and I'll let her know of this book.

Mr. wordwalker is allergic to everything and I to at least half of everything. So for whatever it's worth I should advise everybody to be careful.

I strongly recommend it. There are also some great resources for art hazards in the New York area that she should know about if she doesn't already. If you want a contact email me.

Patsy

PS And yes, there are some strong theories about some of our favorite artists that are linked to lead and a few other pigments.

...some artists a bit nuts. Maybe it was the poisons that caused Escher to draw impossible settings and Picasso to paint people as cubes. What about that guy Jackson Pollack who just said give me a can of that toxic stuff and let me throw it around.

Mmm, didn't another guy cut off his ear?

All of them should have read the warning labels!!

Thanks for a serious review. My wife is an art educator. She uses these supplies daily. I'll have to give her a heads up on this book.

Well done.
