nightmarex's Full Review: Astro-Creep: 2000 by White Zombie
Let's start this review off with how the hell does he do it? Rob Zombie has been around for quite the while, not totally mainstream or known really until they blew metal out of the water with their hit CD Astro-Creep: 2000. With Rob Zombie's own distinced vocals, his ear for samples, and the fantastic backing music, it's pure insanity. First and foremost, if you are easily offended by bad language, and the "Dark side" of things, I caution your purchase in this album.
You have likely heard White Zombie, whether you beleive it or not, you've heard that insane electric slide that is on the track More human than human, hell, it was all over, you had to have heard it and you know you liked it. Rob is the master of the sonic/metal rap style, he has his own genre pretty much.
You'll get right into it on the first track, Electric Head Part. 1, "Perhaps you had better start from the beggining" and this crazy laugh are slowly faded out into the sound of typewriters from hell and into some crazy organ and guitar work with some unusual "vocals" (If you can call them that), then you've got a train and piano, and your hit with some hea vy drums and guitar work. This is the perfect album for those into heavy and crazy music. Then you have the infamous More Human than human track and even Chris Jericho's old ECW theme. If you are interested in any metal, or semi rap or have just hear Rob Zombie before and it got you moving, I strongly encourage your purchase in this CD, it is excellent and you can listen to it for ages.
