Pros: Low sugar, not-so-chalky taste, filling
Cons: it doesn't taste like the S'Mores I remember
The Bottom Line: If you're on a low carb lifestyle, these are a good meal replacement. They're not the best tasting bars, but I've definitely had worse too!

Atkins Diet and Atkins Advantage Products
For anyone who has been sequestered for the past ten years, the Atkins Diet is a change of eating lifestyle that relies on a high protein, low carbohydrate diet. Im not here to argue whether or not it works or whether or not its healthy. Thats all been done before.
The Atkins Advantage products are products that boast no added sugars, but rather protein, fiber, vitamins and minerals. In addition to the nutrition bars, which do have a lot more protein and a lot less sugar than other leading bars, there are also Atkins Advantage meal replacement shakes, offering the same benefits.
The Taste
I forgot my lunch today and to shut me up, my boss tossed me an Atkins Advantage Nutrition Bar (SMores flavored). I was hoping for take-out Thai, but I suppose that isnt nearly as tossable. I wasnt expecting the Hersheys Bar, Marshmallows and Graham Crackers from my Girl Scout memories, but I was hoping that I could at least recognize the reason they named it after that delectable concoction.
That said, it really wasnt near as bad as I thought it was going to be. I realize that isnt a glowing recommendation, but for these low carb nutrition bars, thats saying quite a bit. There is no distinguishable marshmallow taste, as I would have expected from a S'Mores bar, but the chocolate isn't chalky like other nutrition bars I've tried and there's a good balance of crunch and "goo".
This makes a great meal replacement, and this is the first nutrition bar I can say that about. I had it for lunch, with nothing else, and was satisfied for hours.

Final Thoughts
After the last low carb nutrition bar I tried, this is leaps and bounds better. First of all, I guess it depends on the diet you follow. I personally tend to stay away from what I view as the low carb fad, but do like to eat in moderation. I watch my sugars, my fats, my overall caloric intake and I exercise on a regular basis (fine, I try to exercise on a regular basis!).
Surprisingly, I was satisfied after eating this bar for lunch today. I had a cup of oatmeal for breakfast and I drink about a quart and a half of water throughout the workday, and I havent yet had any overwhelming urges to go hit the vending machine. Along with the fact that its only 220 calories, and the taste isnt disgusting, I have to give this a 4 star rating.
