I have three pairs of subs that i've dealt with - two 12" Sony Xplod's (the red cone ones), two 12" Alpine Type R's, and these Audiobahn Dub200's. I have the Dub Audio ones that have a chrome grill, not the ones with a silver grill. My amp of choice to push two of these subs is the Audiobahn A8000T amp. My gosh these subs hit! They hit way harder and clearer than my Xplods, and thump louder than my Type R's. I think the amp has a lot to do with it though. I bought a set of these on ebay for $130 a pair with shipping included in that price and wow these subs have performed better than I thought. I'ved loved audiobahn subs from the first day I heard ONE 12" sub powered by a 300 watt amp. That one sub with 300 watts power hit harder than my two 12" Xplods with a 1,000 watt 2 channel Sony Xplod amp. Oh yeah, my subs were in a bandpass box w/ plexiglass too which are supposed to make them "hit harder". Many people in forums bash audiobahn but I feel that these subs can make other setups blush. The box says 500 watts RMS power and 800watts maximum power. I love the chrome dub grills these came with because in my trunk, they are the only thing protecting my subs from grocery. It's crazy how these subs have 8 terminals per sub. I just kinda ignored the 4 inner terminals per each sub and wired them using the series method. I wired these subs in my sealed box with a 2ohm set up so my amp puts out 800watts RMS 2ohm. For the money, you cannot go wrong with these subs. Others may think different but im a multi-talented musician who's ears say that these subs have excellent sound quality and don't distort at high volumes. Get them for the value and sound quality, not for their looks even though they look awesome. To save you time on installation just ignore the inner 4 terminals on each sub and use the outter 4 terminals. The Dual 4ohm voice coils are awesome. Get'em while you can, I suggest ebay for the best price.
Oh yeah, use the audiobahn A8000T amp for these subs, you'll be impressed! the audiobahn amp works perfect for these subs at it's lowest output! it's amazing! shakes my car, gives me a great massage, and makes people look out their windows as I cruise through my neighborhood. Get 'em!
