A couple years back my husband and I were seriously thinking of looking into getting a cell phone due to him being on the road all the time with his job and me being pregnant. I wanted to be able to get a hold of him somehow if I needed him for any reason. Well, low and behold I got a phone call one day from MCI Worldcom about a free cell phone with one year contract. I couldn't believe my ears. I jumped at the chance and got it. A few weeks later here came our phone. I was so excited when we got it I tore into the box and started getting everything setup for it.
This phone was so easy to get going it wasn't even funny. I couldn't wait to try it out. Of course I had to wait for the battery to be fully charged and all which didn't seem to take long at all. I called everyone I could think of on it to see how it sounded and how they thought I sounded. I have had no problems what so ever with the sound. It sounds great on my end and no one has complained about it sounding bad on theirs. It is nice and clear sounding. It has all the features anyone would want plus some. The only thing mine doesn't have is the vibrate mode which would come in handy for us when we are out at a loud event and our kids are with a sitter and we can't hear it ring..ha!
On my phone I have call waiting, call forwarding, voice messaging, 3 way calling, and numerous types of rings to choose from. I am sure I am forgetting something but that all depends on your carrier anyway. You can store a number of phone numbers in there to access easily and it has caller ID also. Other functions include, displaying your number, a backlight, contrast, SMS lines, different tones for your ring, ring volume, key volume, mute, low battery, minutes, quick dial, etc. You can lock the keys on the keypad so when your kids get a hold of it they don't make some call to who knows where. It is very light weight that you may forget you have it until it starts ringing and startles you. I can be on the phone with someone and still access the other functions on it like looking up a number for someone and they don't get disconnected. It has come in handy a few times.
While I was pregnant my husband took the phone with him when I was close to my due date. He was out of town sometimes and I would call him just to say hi or he would call me to see how it was going. I must say everything sounded great thru it. Sometimes too good I could hear his radio while chatting with him..ha!
I recommend this phone to anyone looking for a cell phone. Like I said it is light weight, has various functions on it, and it is easy to use and sounds nice a clear. I have had it for 2 years now and going strong..haven't had to replace a battery yet. The charge can last us about 2days. I am sure it depends on how much though you use it.
