| Draven366's Full Review: Audiovox DV1680 6.8 in. Portable DVD Player |
I recently took my 8-year old son on a plane trip across the country, and this DVD player was the perfect way to keep him occupied.
He watched 2 DVDs (each about 90 minutes long) and got no indication that he had exhausted battery power.
The picture quality was great, and headphones were mandatory to hear the sound over the jet engine noise.
We also connected the A/V output cables to the TV in the hotel room, and it acted like a standard DVD player.
A drawback was that I found out too late that there was no battery in the remote control that comes with the player...but that was easily solved.
Also, be ready to explain what this device is if you take it with you on a plane -- most airport screeners are not familiar with portable DVD players, and the detachable battery may cause them to investigate your bag thoroughly.
In conclusion, this was well worth the money!
