As you can see from my profile I used to own the DualBand Touchpoint Phone, for Sprint. However, I am a recent convert to Bell Atlantic/MCI, and to this beautiful phone.
First of all, if its comments you want, this is the phone for you. I've owned the phone for less than three weeks, and I can't tell you how many times I've been stopped on the street, because want to ask me about my phone. Definitely the epitome of hip.
It's light and small, and the reception is great. The biggest plus has to be the battery life - there are no extra-long life batteries for this phone yet (i.e. the extra battery on the startac) - but it still lasts forever. If you're one of those people who often forgets to recharge their phone at night (and I'm one of them), then this is the phone for you. On a full recharge the battery really lasts a full fourty-eight hours (less, of course, if you're talking on it a lot). And the charger fits the phone perfectly, unlike those odd snaps on other phones, where you never quite know whether or not its in the charger correctly. Did I add it sounds incredible - better than my regular phone.
I do have a few gripes with the phone. The interface is good, but not the best - it takes to many steps to recall a saved number, and you can't edit it (as far as i can tell) once its been entered in the phone book. There is no web interface yet (though that is more a function of my carrier). The battery on the back is slightly loose, which can be annoying - not enough to make me think negatively of the phone, but enough that I've noticed it. I've also had complaints from other people who've used my phone that tis slightly uncomfortable to use, but I find that for a flip phone that is so small, it is remarkably comfortable.
In short, I recommend this phone to those who want the "hip quotient." Its got "the look," and it elicits responses on the street
