I discovered this lotion by accident. I had stopped by my mom's house to drop off a check for her. She wasn't home so I went upstairs to leave the check in her bedroom on her desk. As I was leaving, I happened to notice a tube of Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion with Natural Colloidal Oatmeal sitting nearby. My skin has been very dry this summer so I squirted a little into my palms and applied the lotion to my dry legs and hands. I absolutely loved it. The next day I was at Target picking up a tube of my own.

Price and Packaging
The tube is pretty boring. Had I not tried it first, I probably never would have bought it. The 8 oz. tube is a tan color with olive green writing. The green lid is a flip top which I like. I hate screw on lids with lotion. For $5.99, you will get 8 oz. of lotion which I think is pretty reasonable. After using it, I think it is definitely worth it.

My Experience
Like I mentioned, after trying this lotion quickly at my mom's house, I knew I had to have it. The lotion appears very thick when it first comes out of the tube. It is runny or watery. It won't drip out of your hand. However, when it is applied to the skin, it is not heavy at all. It has a light, whipped feel to it. It glides over my skin so easily and absorbs immediately. It is a silky feeling lotion, not greasy or sticky. My skin is dry in the summer so I need a lotion that will moisturize well, but not be greasy.
I was unsure how long my skin would stay moisturized for. So many lotions need to be applied again halfway through the day. In the summer I usually wear skirts and sandals to work so I need something that keeps my bare legs looking good. I hate looking at and feeling dry scaly legs. Yuck! So later that day I had to check and see how my skin was holding up with the Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion. I was very surprised. My skin was still incredibly soft and smooth. There was no hint of dryness.
What really did it for me was waking up the next morning and seeing that my skin still did not need more lotion. It was soft, smooth, and hydrated. I did not have the urge to apply more lotion. My skin simply did not need it.
I am very impressed with Aveeno. I currently rotate between 3 moisturizers: Origins Spring Fever Body Souffle, a moisturizer from the Avon Wellness line, and the Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion. The Aveeno is by far the best lotion out of all 3, even though it's the least expensive. It lives up to all of its claims. It truly moisturizes for 24 hours as advertised. It leaves your skin smooth and healthy looking without any fragrance.
Final Thoughts
I definitely recommend the Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion. It does everything it promised. If you have dry skin or just want a long lasting moisturizer, check this one out. I absolutely love it!
