modernmarvel's Full Review: Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer 4oz
I started using various products in the Aveeno line over a year ago. I have been using this moisturizer for almost a year practically every day.
MY EXPERIENCE
I live in New England which has hot, humid summers and cold, dry winters. I usually switch moisturizers with the seasons. I tend to use a light moisturizer in the summer and a heavier one in the winter but I have been using this moisturizer daily for almost a year and found it works well in all seasons.
My skin is sometimes oily and sometimes dry depending on many factors. I find this moisturizer is very light and goes on evenly and quickly. It almost immediately sinks into my skin and dries. I find that if my skin had been feeling dry, this moisturizer almost immediately makes it feel less tight. Once the moisturizer is on, I don't notice it at all unless I get very sweaty and then my face will feel oily. You definitely can't use this moisturizer before a workout.
This moisturizer works well under make-up or by itself. It has no scent which is nice if you wear perfume or other scented products. If I put on the moisturizer by itself, it makes my skin less shiny which is a nice effect to have. The product claims it is "clinically proven to even out tone and texture." I have been using the product for almost a year and I don't notice that my skin has a different tone or texture except that is is less dry after an application.
This product has a SPF of 15. I don't really use it as a sunscreen. If I know I will be out all day in the sun, I put on something thicker and stronger. However, on days I might have gotten a little pink, I notice this product does keep out some of the sun's rays.
This product is oil-free, hypoallergenic and noncomedogenic. I don't normally react to products and I haven't reacted to this one. This product has never made me break out.
The packaging for this product is a cream-colored plastic bottle with a pump on top. The pump can lock which makes it easy to travel with. The only thing I don't like about this product is that the moisturizer at the top of the pump dries out and can sometimes clog up. Plus, I get a lump in the first pump about every other time I use it. I think the company should rethink the packaging because the product dries out. However, I like this product enough to put up with that inconvenience.
I paid about $15 for a 4 ounce bottle that lasts me about 4 months.
FINAL RECOMMENDATION
I really like this product and it works very well for me. I have had some frustrations with the packaging but easily put up with them because the product works well for me. I would definitely recommend this product.
