My husband and I had ZERO experience with babies and no help at all when our son was born. When breastfeeding wasn't working out for us, in the middle of the night, I decided to try pumping and using a bottle so that the baby wouldn't get dehydrated. But we were in no way prepared for sterilizing the pump and bottles parts, so we had to boil water on the stove etc. This took sooooooo long, it was horrible. So I sent my husband out to get the Avent Express Microwave Sterilizer. It saved us! We just popped it in the microwave and in something like 4 minutes, everything was sterile.
