Pros: Shaped like mom's nipple, adaptable with other Avent Products.
Cons: They are kind of expensive
The Bottom Line: These are great to prevent nipple confusion and in my son's case to teach him how to latch on!

| lbuffo's Full Review: Avent Reusable 9oz Bottles 3 Pack Model 147 |
I first heard of these bottles when I received a free one in a grab bag from Motherhood Maternity. This was my first child and none of my close friends had kids so I was pretty clueless. I researched them online and read many great reviews, so I decided these were the bottles for my son. But just in case he didn't like my decision I registered for these and Dr. Brown's.
Once my son was born I tried and tried to get him to latch on but it was a rough start so I had to pump and bottle feed him and much to my surprise these nipples actually helped him with his latch. Once he was able to latch on to the breast he didn't shy away from either. I went back to work when he was 10 weeks old and Daddy had to take care of him in the evenings so he would take the bottle with no problems! Avent also makes a cereal nipple the hole is adjustable for when you add cereal to the milk.
Now he's 19 months old and he loves his bobbie (I know it's kind of old for a bottle, but I'm weaning him off of the breast) so I'll deal with weaning him off of his bobbie later!
I never used the Avent breast pump because I got the Medela as a gift, but I think it's great that you can attach the bottle directly to the pump.
Look for free samples at Motherhood Maternity, that's where I received most of my 9 and 11 oz bottles!
