Pros: Newer planes, spacier, clean, neat. Alert and educated staff, a breeze through everything.
Cons: Tad bit of a delay US bound. Otherwise, no out of the ordinary problems.
The Bottom Line: Treat you with respect, common sense, and genuine concern. Clean newer planes, alert, professional and pleasant crew. On time, no hassle, easy airline. Nothing to clutter you with. Excellent!

| dani_v's Full Review: Aviacsa |
Hi all, I recently returned from a trip from Chicago direct to Monterrey to visit family. I was reluctant to fly Aviacsa since i knew nothing about it. But i went ahead and bought my ticket after finding a few good reviews on the 'Net. Expecting an experience similar to what ive had on Mexicana or Continental (bad timing, old clunky looking planes, luggage lost, connection delays, HUGE FLIGHT DELAY [4 hours, for what reason?], bad attitude, and just wasnt feelin it) i was not looking forward to it, esp. since i HATE flying (but ya gotta do it right?).
Boy was i wrong! My teddy bear in hand (yes i still fly with a dang gone bear and im 24) i boarded and prayed for the best. I looked around. The plane LOOKED NEW! wow! that's a first. and also VERY clean, spacey, and neat, and flight crew ready to assist and very professional. the people onboard were from all backgrounds, no discrimination here. The crew directed us in spanish first, then english, both very good. They fed us a decent meal, (its airline food after all) and no singing/lame jokes by the crew or pilot (a la Southwest) which is perfectly fine by me. Domestic beer (Mexican beer that is, i.e. Modelo and Corona) and limited liqour was free.. (Why doesn't Southwest do that when i go to Vegas?) the flight was uneventful and quiet and even though taking off 15 min late we got there in what was to be a 3:30 hr flight we did in 3. NICE!
The way back was just the same. We left an hour late. check in a little long, but i could deal with it. The plane still new and clean and crew helpful and alert. Nothing new here. Peace and quiet. Customs clear and my luggage there before i got to the pick up ramp! wow!
In all, i am going to fly Aviacsa as long as it stays in Chicago. They are very smart for wanting to expand into the United States. And at this rate, may come to surpass Mexicana and other competitors in other US cities. They have my business, my families and friends business too. My sister (who's a business travel agent) is placing all her clients on Aviacsa after hearing horror stories from business people flying via non-Aviacsa to Mexico and S. America. Yes, Aviacsa flies to South America too! Take care everybody!
