Avon products have more miss than hit for me but I keep on trying their new concoctions. I picked up two jars of Avon ANEW CLINICAL Eye Lift on eBay for $10.00 apiece along with a few other highly discounted products about a month ago. This eye cream usually sells for $28.00 on the Avon website or from an Avon representative.
I'm hard to please when it comes to eye creams so I am not super shocked that I wasn't overwhelmed with this new eye cream.
The Official Word
This is from Avon's website:
The first-ever dual eye treatment, give yourself an instant lift!
Upper Eye Gel: with Dimensional-Lift Technology is formulated to strengthen from the inside out by boosting collagen and elastin production. Skin is lifted and tightened to help visibly diminish sagging and drooping.
Under Eye Cream: with Derma-Refine Technology is formulated to accelerate cellular metabolism. Puffiness, dark circles and crepiness are visibly reduced.
Instantly, the Upper Eye Gel delivers lift and the Under Eye Cream visibly reduces under eye shadowing. After 1 week: 91% of women said the eye-lid area looked and felt firmer with the Upper Eye Gel*; 87% of women saw less puffiness with the Under Eye Cream*. After 4 weeks: the Upper Eye Gel helps reduce sagging and drooping**. The Under Eye Cream visibly reduces dark circles and crepiness**
The Packaging
This cream comes boxed in the usual gray and white Anew line box. The jar is .66 ounces total and I suspect that the cream is .50 ounces and the gel is .16 ounces but I could be wrong. The jar is heavy weight white glass with a screw off top. Inside is a split chamber with a light cream colored eye cream and a much smaller orange gel eyelid treatment.
My Experience
I have a few eye creams that I swear by but I always have to try the newest thing in case it is better or does something very special. The cream part of this duo is of medium consistency and smoothes on fairly well. I find it kind of "balls up" if I use too much - it sort of rolls off in little cream balls. I don't know how else to explain it. A little dab will do ya. The cream feels nice but I found my eyes watered a lot when I used it too close to them. I had to apply the cream further down around my eyes and to the sides.
The orange gel is cooling and is to be applied on the upper eyes - the lids and brow bone area. It's a touch sticky but not overly so. Again, you need very little or else you will have very slick lids.
Avon claims this cream instantly shows improvement in both the lower and upper eye area. I saw no improvement in either. My eyes were moisturized but, other than that, I saw no noticeable difference in the appearance of my tiny fine lines or the firmness of my skin.
Avon says that after a week, many women said their eyelid area was firmer and the lower eye areas were less puffy. I used this cream for nearly three weeks and, while it did moisturize some and the gel was sort of a cooling change from creams, I honestly did not notice any change in the look of my eye area.
I use Lancome Progres Eye Cream, , Revision Teamine Eye Comex, and the wonderful Wei East Eyes Alive and Eye Dreams (at different times, not layered!) and each one gives me a different, but noticeable result.
This cream and gel duo didn't give me any noticeable results except that my eye area was moister than if I did not use a cream/gel and, if I used only a tiny bit, it was a good first step before applying my Dermablend Concealer.
I have a half of jar plus a whole other jar left and I don't know when I will get around to using it. I just like the look and feel of my other creams so much better that I won't want to give up a day or night to Avon ANEW CLINICAL Eye Lift.
This isn't a bad cream, but, for me, it was simply average. It is better than many I have tried especially drugstore brands, but doesn't reduce dark circles and puffiness like Revision Teamine, doesn't moisturize and drench the eye area in silky moisture like Lancôme Progres, and doesn't make my eyes look alive, healthy, and smooth like Wei East eye creams. I even like Burt's Bees Royal Jelly Eye Cream better than this cream!
Many women may like the idea of a cream and a gel duo and this may be just the right consistency for them. I can take it or leave it and I probably will use it now and then until the first jar is gone and give one of my sisters the second jar. They love when I order eye or facial creams because they know they will reap the benefits from my mistakes.

I don't know about you but I would much rather forgo all those added colors and use a clear gel on my lids and upper eyes. The orange isn't too appealing anyway.
Buying Info
This product is available on the Avon website and from Avon representatives. I have heard that there are Avon kiosks in some malls but I never saw one.
You can also find good deals on even the newest products on eBay. This cream had just come out for $28.00 when I got it for $10.00. It's worth $10.00 but, in my opinion, it isn't worth $28,00.
Conclusion
I was hoping this cream was a breakthrough. It seemed very different and I had hopes that I would be more impressed with it than I have been with other Avon skin care products. It turns out, I like the Avon Anew regular eye cream better than this new Clinical Lift Cream.
I like heavier creams that really hydrate my eye area as well as ones that zap dark circles (so far, only Revision can do that). If you prefer a lighter cream and like the idea of a gel for the lids and brow bone, pick up a jar and see what you think. Maybe you can get a sample or two from a representative before committing to a whole jar.
I give this cream 3 stars. For me, it didn't live up to the hype and made my eyes water. It didn't give me any noticeable youthful results. At the same time, this cream/gel duo didn't do any damage to my eye area. Aside from the watering of my eyes, it didn't sting or burn.
For me it was average. It may work much better for you especially is you like lighter weight creams and don't need intense moisturizing.
