For the past 6 months I’ve been on the hunt for an effective, reasonably priced, wrinkle fighting cream. So far, I haven’t found that perfect product yet. I’ve been using Avon’s Anew Line Eliminator Dual Retinol Facial Cream for about 3 months and have been somewhat satisfied with the results. Read on for the details…
The Product…
Avon’s Anew Line Eliminator Cream is packaged in a green tube with a silver cap. It is only available in one size (1 fluid oz.) and retails for $15. I bought it on sale for $10 on Avon’s website. It comes packaged with a helpful hand-out which lists Avon’s anti-aging products and how to use them together. The cream is white and is absorbed quickly into the skin. The scent is very mild and smells clean. The instructions are to apply the cream in the pm only, 5 minutes after washing the face. This product is not intended for use on the eyelids.
Avon's Anew Line Eliminator Cream contains retinol in a “dual-delivery” system that is time-released. I can’t provide the other ingredients because they are not listed on the tube and are temporarily unavailable on Avon’s website. But I will update this review when they become available.
According to Avon’s website, the claims of Avon’s Anew Line Eliminator Cream are as follows:
· Instantly reduces the appearance of fine lines.
· Deeper lines appear dramatically reduced in 7 days.
· With continued use skin’s elasticity is strengthened
and skin feels softer.
My Experience…
I have combination skin (oily T-zone, dry cheeks) and some fine lines around my eyes and on my forehead. My skin can be somewhat sensitive and some products cause redness and irritation.
I have been using Avon’s Anew Line Eliminator Cream for about 3 months, following the directions for use. I apply it on my forehead and on my “laugh lines”. The cream is easily absorbed into the skin and does not leave an oily residue. I can apply make-up over it with no problems. It did not irritate my skin or cause any acne break-outs.
The cream does plump up my fine lines immediately after use. After about 2 1/2 months of use, the fine lines on my forehead are somewhat less noticeable. I would definitely not say they are “eliminated”! But overall, Avon’s Anew Line Eliminator Cream does leave my skin moisturized and looking a little smoother. But it did not dramatically reduce my wrinkles.
This product might be better for wrinkle prevention, rather than wrinkle rehabilitation. I expected more results than what I experienced, especially since it is named “Line Eliminator”. I might purchase it again if it was a great price (under $5), but for now my search for an effective, skin friendly, wrinkle fighter continues…
