Even though I live in a major metropolitan city it is very difficult for me to find an Avon Representative to order products and just stay on top of the catalogs and sales. Not too long ago a woman was leaving catalogs on the fences to the houses in the neighborhood, but they were in Spanish and of no help to me.
When I was employed many years ago before I had my children it was easy to find the Avon catalog and order once a month. In the past I tried the website to locate someone in my area, but the person was on maternity leave and her machine recording was in Spanish so I was back to square one. When I first joined Epinions I ordered from someone who had Avon in her member name and that worked out well, but she left the site. Each brochure has a campaign number on them with the date the order is due by.
I learned from my neighbor that the babysitter her adult son used for his children sold Avon, so I had to give her my order, wait for her son to stop by on his lunch hour and submit it to the babysitter. When our orders came in we were dependent on him to drop them off and not knowing what the full balance was had to scrounge around for the exact change. This girl did not know how to take credit card orders so I just stocked up a few times and have been left high and dry.
One of the products I took advantage of buying each campaign was the Avon Basics Vita Moist Face Cream. This is an attractive white jar with a cream colored label and screw off top. Normally this sells for $4.99 but I have purchased it several times when it was $2.99 and other times they increase the amount and size of the jar for special deals. The jar contains 3.4 ounces and the larger one had 95% more with 6.7 ounces of the yellowish cream.
On the plus side this is also dermatologist and allergy tested and contains Vitamins A and E. The smell is refreshing and not overly fragrant. The texture is creamy and it absorbs very quickly. A jar can last a few months when using it mornings and evenings. Once I cleanse my face this is applied using a few drops around my face and neck. At nighttime it feels good after taking a shower and does not make my face feel tight. There is no burning sensation or tingly feeling after blending. Since I have eczema my face has problem areas that will burn on occasion with sensitive skin lotion similar to Oil of Olay. I find the Avon Basics Vita Moist Face Cream the better of the brands at a cheaper price and a nicer package. The other kinds you have to pump down and then it clumps up and the pump gets clogged. This is an attractive looking jar that could be rinsed out and used for storing rings or a watch on your dresser. My skin feels soft and smooth once this has been applied and I can dot on some foundation and blush.
The ingredients are not listed on the jar, but you can find them on the website and also a Representative should be able to get you a listing. This was another problem for me with the third party babysitter as the contact person. I placed several phone calls to her asking for samples and ingredients listings and it took a long time to get these. So once I know a product does not contain lanolin I purchase it frequently just in case they discontinue or change the formula.
purified water, mineral oil , cetearyl alcohol, myristyl myristate, petrolatum, propylene glycol stearate, retinyl palmitate, tocopheryl acetate, panthenol, peg-40 stearate, beeswax, benzyl alcohol, choleth-24, carbomer-934, triethanolamine, hydroxyethylcellulose, methylparaben, fragrance, d&c yellow no.10, d&c red no.33
I have about a drop or two remaining in my jar and need to find another source to get a new supply, since I have been putting this off for a long time. It is worth the effort to find Avon Basics Vita Moist Face Cream because a small drop goes a long way and the price is fantastic.
