Avon Cool Confidence Antiperspirant Deodorant Stick Solid is an upgrade for Avon, after seeing the regular roll-ons in many fragrances, that we're all familiar with.
When it was first introduced I just had to try it. With warmer weather approaching; Figured now is a good time for my review...
This is a solid deodorant stick, unlike Avon's bottles of roll-ons that are wet when applying.
This version comes in a white plastic container about the size of your hand, with a dark blue snap on/off top. The solid stick inside weighs 1.7 oz. and white in color. Regular price is 3.49 and now on sale for 1.25...
When I first received the deodorant stick, of course I wanted to open it up. To open, grip the top and give a little tug upward, easy to open. Inside, there is a protective plastic covering over the stick, which is to be removed and discarded.
There is a small wheel on the bottom of container, for twisting the deodorant upward for desired use. I only twist mine up for 1/2-3/4 inch. In the past I have dialed up a solid to much, and to my surprise it broke off and fell onto the floor. Nothing like learning from experience.
The solid stick lasted me for about two months, and that was using it everyday. When used down to the last little bit, I had to throw away, because the product became loose inside. When I tried turning it up to apply, the last little peace fell out, but most solids do.
Avon Cool Confidence Deodorant Solid Stick goes on dry and never feels sticky, so you can get dressed right away. The scent was nice and really does smell like baby powder. Just like the original Johnson & Johnson kind. A clean soft scent.
I can say, the deodorant kept me dry all day with no perspiration under the arms. Sometimes when I raised my arm, I got a whiff of the baby powder scent, which was a reminder how well it worked. Doesn't spot clothing either.
I see it's on sale right now for 1.25 at the Amazon site. Wow! what a deal. This tells me, that Avon might be discontinuing this item. Oh well, I'll just keep using my secret solid..:) It's nice too.
