I have been selling Avon products for 6 months but I have been using them for years. My mom would give us bubble baths every night using the Avon bubble bath line. In fact you can read my review on the bubble baths at http://www.epinions.com/content_60007091844. I know, that was a shameless plug and I should be ashamed of myself (smile). I live in Texas and when you live in any area that has summers that reach 115 degrees in the shade then you can imagine how majorities of Texan’s are barefoot or in Sandals. Of course that heat does not do your feet very much good and there you are stuck with dry, rough feet. What do you? Well you call up your nearest Avon rep and order the Foot works line! Not just the sloughing creams either, buy it all! Believe me, it is a lot cheaper than getting a professional pedicure and well worth it.

About the Avon Sloughing Cream
Recently, Avon has given the foot works packaging an over haul so the picture on Epinions is not current. Each tube is 3.4 FL. OZ. and there is enough in that tube to do at least 12 pedicures or soaks on your feet. Active ingredients in it are Water, paraffin, pumice, stearic aid, glyceryl stearate, magnesium aluminum silicate, triethanolamine, benzyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol, dimethicone, peg-40 stearate, Juglans regia (walnut) shell powder, mentha piperita (peppermint) oil, pimenta acris (bay) leaf oil, theobroma cacao (cocoa) seed butter, rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf extract, arnica montana flower extract, syeareth-2, methylparaben, propylene and fragrance. (These are taken directly from the bottle.) The back of the bottle also lists your directions for use and how it works. Sloughs off dead, calloused skin when massaged on feet. Leaves feet feeling soft and smooth.
Let’s open this bottle up and see if it works
When you open the bottle you are greeted with a strong mint smell. Now if you are familiar with this product then you know that this is a much milder and better smelling product than the one that was out last year. The medicine smell is gone and I figure that is attributed to the new flower extracts that they put in the cream. The best time to use this is right after a shower or bath that way your feet are soft and hydrated. If you need to treat your feet now then get out a pan or a foot soaking tub (Avon is offering one now for $1.99 with any foot works purchase.) and put hot water in it. Don’t get the water so hot that you scald your feet but you want it to be hot enough to really help hydrate your feet. After you have soaked your tired feet then dry your feet thoroughly and apply the sloughing cream on the dry and rough areas of your feet, or if you are like me then apply it all over your feet. Rub it in good so that the pumice and the Walnut can really rub off all the dead skin. Let the sloughing cream sit on your feet for at least 1 minute and then massage the cream in more to help remove excess flakes and rough spots. Wash the sloughing cream off and then soak your feet for at least 5 more minutes. The directions do not tell you to soak for 5 minutes at the end but after scrubbing your feet you will need to soak to help replace the moisture and re-hydrate your skin. Trust me, this will help your feet feel even softer. I think you will be greatly pleased with this product.
Let’s follow up
I am sure that you are aware that Avon has an entire line of foot products and each one is awesome. Take it from me, the barefoot Texan with the cracked heels. Here is what I suggest for happy, hydrated feet. Soak your feet in a small tub or a big tub if you have big old honking feet like mine, pour in 4 capfuls of the double action foot soak, this is a small bottle and you will go through it quick so when you flag down your rep, be sure to tell them you want at least 2 bottles of the soak. After soaking your feet in the soak you will see a good difference in the softness of your feet. Dry your feet and apply the sloughing scream described above. After you have re-hydrated your feet then grab your double action foot file and start filing off that dead skin, be sure to soak again afterwards to replace that moisture and your feet will thank you for it. Rub on the gel scrub with moisture beads, wash your feet off again and then follow up with the deep moisturizing cream. Using the deep moisturizing cream will help to keep dead skin from building up on your feet. Is the therapeutic cream is great for everyday use and you can use this several times a day. I know this sounds like a lot but keep in mind that once you get all the dead skin off of your feet you will not have to use everything all the time, just enough to keep your feet feeling healthy and soft. Avon also offers Cracked heel relief cream that is like nothing else on the market, if your heels are so dry that they crack then I would run right out and grab some of this, it really is the best on the market for dry heels. If you or more likely your hubby has a fungus problem then I would suggest the Avon Therapeutic Anti-fungal Powder or foot spray. I promise you that your feet will feel 110% better. To keep your feet happy and soft, I suggest you repeat the pedicure process at least once per week but I do it every 2 weeks and my feet are softer than ever and they never looked this good after a professional pedicure. Go ahead and save $40 at your favorite salon or spa and purchase the Foot works line for much less.
So what is the real cost
Just about every other campaign or brochure, the foot works line is on-sale. The regular prices are Foot Soak $3.99, Sloughing Cream $2.99, Foot File $2.99, Gel scrub with beads $5.99, Deep moisturizing cream $2.99, Therapeutic cream $5.99, Anti-fungal powder $5.99, Anti-fungal foot spray $5.99, Cracked heel relief cream $4.99 and the foot tub $9.99. If you bought everything listed then you would spend $51.90 (cheaper at sales prices) and you can give yourself at least 5 great pedicures, which is a lot of money saved. Shhh don’t say I told you but you can be on the look out for the new refreshing citrus salts, moisture gel and foot spray available in Campaign 16.
So what does Mini like about the sloughing cream
Ok I will get off the entire foot works line and go back to the sloughing cream, since after all that is what this review is about. As I have said before, I have really dry feet and I don’t have the time to head to a salon every other week to get a pedicure and lets face it, no one wants to spend $40 on a pedicure! After trying everything on the market for foot care including Dr. Schools and Mary Kay products and I have not seen the results with those products that I have with Avon’s foot works line. Not only is the product an awesome one but the price is great as well. I couldn’t be happier with my feet! I will warn you that the sloughing cream residue can and will leave a ring around your soaking tub. To get rid of it quickly so that it doesn’t sit there and become hard and crusty, just dump your foot water and spray hot water after you foot tub or if you are using an actual big tub then just rinse it out afterwards and you will avoid a slough ring.
Ok I m sold, where can I get this Foot works line?
Ok I know you want to get some but you are thinking, “Where do I go?” Well contact your local Avon representative if you have one or find someone that has an Avon website to order from like for instance, ME. I know another shameless plug (laugh), really I couldn’t resist. If you are not having any luck finding a representative then you can check out http://www.avon.com for complete product lines and prices as well as to place orders.
