The Avon Foot Works Pedi-Peel Pads are a handy, quick way to help rough, calloused heels get back in line. If you want a quick treatment between the night soaks or the overnight moisturizers, this might be something to check into!

The Product

The pads, or peels, are a thin, cotton pad. They measure only 2 inches in diameter. The pads are stored in a small plastic container and there are only 22 pads in a pack. The pads remind me of the circular facial cleaning pads that you would put toner on to clean your face at the end of the day.

These pads are textured on one side of the pad with bumpy cotton dots all over the top. The bottom of the pad is smooth with no texture as the top part of the pad has.
The pads do not smell bad, but they do have a fragrance.

The container says to use 1 pad per foot, let the foot dry and you are done. It does not take the foot long to dry at all. Normally, when I am finished with my second foot, the first is already dried off!

They do advise that this product contains glycolic acid to refine skin’s surface and smooth rough calloused skin.
They do also advise that this product contains an alpha hydroxyl acid (AHA) and this might increase the skin’s sensitivity to the sun. So, be extra cautious when using this when you are outside!

The Ingredients

Overall Impressions

First and foremost, I want to say, once you open this up (it’s a foil sealed container) be sure to use the pads quickly, as the package is not air-tight and the chemicals inside seem to dry out quickly, making the pad useless!

They do seem to work, but if you have terribly calloused heels and feet, the single package might not work alone. You likely will have to use the pads, moisturizer overnight and possibly even a pumice stone to get some of the roughest spots off of your feet and heels!

It is a quick and painless process. You take the pad, swipe it back and forth over the roughness a few times and it’s done. I never noticed any sensitivity on my feet at all. But, I did not use them every night. I usually skipped nights due to something coming up last minute and I forgot.

But, I did notice that my feet were feeling better and the pads seemed to help wipe away dry skin or even rough heels.

Price wise, you can usually get this for $5.00 any old time. But, I prefer to wait until a sale (like what is going on right now January 21, 2008) where you can mix and match Foot Works items 2 for $5 and stock up on a couple of packages. I don’t open the package until I am ready to use them to heel my feet though, as I don’t want the product to dry out before I use them all!

If you have tried a lot of different items, this might be one to check out, as I feel it has done a lot to soften up the rough, dry skin on my heels and when coupled with moisturizer, I have touchable, kissable feet!
