| ksm0227's Full Review: Avon Hydrofirming Night Lotion |
I live at the beach, sun damage is inevitable no matter how much I apply my SPF. Wile I am only 23, I still am cautious about wrinkles and think it is never too late to start working on spots that you know will give you trouble. If you think this is crazy, too bad. When I bought the bath bubbles and foot lotion, my Avon lady suckered me into to several more purchases. This was one of them. While I don't have major lines or wrinkles, I do love firm skin. This isn't the one to do it though.
Did it firm my skin?
No. It really has not done anything yet, but it has only been three months. Products like this often take much longer. I hate to say that it does not do what it promises, my skin's texture was incredible after a week, but not noticeably firmer. Perhaps if you have skin that comes with more experience than mine, you might notice more change. I really love Avon products lately, and hate to say this one is a dud, but I am afraid that this is the case.
Did improve the texture of my skin?
You bet. After about a week of applying it liberally before bed every night, my skin was noticeably softer, more supple, and "baby like" in feel and appearance. I really love it as a moisturizer. If you want a moisturizer that will smooth you over, but not necessarily give you firm skin, give it a try. For $13.00, I think what you get as far as skin improvement goes is pretty damn good.
Can I use it with sensitive skin?
If you are not new to me, you know that if I am giving it an above average rating, than it worked for my skin, which is very sensitive. I hate to say it will work for all skin across the world, but it worked for mine. Test it out somewhere like an arm or consult a doctor, but I would think you would be fine. It has no fragrance, so I found it to be sensitive skin, user friendly.
How long will the tube last and is it worth the price?
The tube is not even a forth of the way used up and I have used it faithfully, every day for three months. I think that for $13.00 that it is a good deal. You only use it on your face and neck and only at night did I use it. After all you are not bathing in it.
How do I know if I need it?
Ask yourself the following questions:
1. Do i need a lotion that I can use at night that will improve skin texture and maybe firm me up just a little in a year or so?
2. Do I need a great creme that will not affect my sensitive skin or come with a heavy fragrance?
3. Do I love beauty product, Avon ladies, and buying yet one more "miracle" creme?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, give it a try. I really liked it, but it was not true love.
