countrygyrl's Full Review: Avon Naturals Body Spray Vanilla
Vanilla is my scent of choice in the colder months, any and all vanilla I like. I have religiously used both Bath and Body Works and Victoria's Secret vanilla body sprays, plus other "no-name" brands but I think Avon is my favorite.
Avon's Naturals Vanilla Body Spray comes in a 8.4 oz spritz top clear plastic bottle. There is a photo of a vanilla bean flower on the front. The color of the actual product is yellow/gold. I really like the nozzle as it gives uniform fairly fine mist that covers a fairly large area. The bottle was virtually identical to Bath and Body works and Victorias Secret but I think both companies may have updated thier look now.
You can purchase Avon's Vanilla body spray through your local rep or online at Avon.com. or even ebay. The normal price is $9.00 (cheaper than both Bath and Body works or Victoria Secret) Avon also offers a matching lotion, shower gel, antibacterial hand gel and lip balm in the vanilla scent and many times you can purchase the items on sale. I actually purchased the spray, 2 shower gels, a lotion and a lip balm in a special 5 for $10.00 deal. I have seen the sprays offered for as little as $4.99.
Avon's Naturals Vanilla body spray is a basic, true, sweet vanilla and only vanilla. The other "competitors" mentioned here have other notes in thier sprays which is fine, they are both lovely but I prefer Avon's. It is more "pure" and I can layer it with my Avon Night Magic Musk perfume (or any other musky/foody or vanilla based perfume/sprays) for a great customized scent and it blends very well and doesn't compete since it is a basic one note scent. I have read other review complianing of a "plasticky" scent in the Avon body spray but I don't detect that.
The only small complaint I have is that it is not as long lasting as I'd like. It goes on fairly strong but fades to gone in 2 to 3 hours. If I spray it on my clothes it lingers longer but its not strong. I do need to reapply 2 or 3 times a day but I find I need to refresh any scent I wear.
