Pros: Goes on easy; no clumping; lasts longer than average polish; inexpensive
When I was a child there were a couple of women in my family who wore their nails long and I was always fascinated by those long, brightly polished nails since my own mother and grandmother wore their nails fairly short. Those pretty pink, red and coral colored nails left a lasting impression on me and, when I entered my teenage years, growing my nails as long as possible became a favorite pastime.
After all these years I still enjoy wearing my nails longer when my work allows me to. And even when they're shorter I still enjoy playing with a variety of colors in nail polish. The color I'm currently wearing is a very shiny red that is called "Flame" from Avon's nailwear nail enamel.
Avon's Nailwear comes in a colorful array of soft pinks, corals and frosts with multiple brighter shades in purples, wines and reds. The color I'm using is very, very red and would work well with most any darker wardrobe. I like that the nailwear goes on reasonably easily, without any messy mistakes AND without a need for a second coat of polish. The polish is relatively thin but very consistent and leaves my nails with a very fresh, shiny coat of color. Best of all, though, the enamel dries very quickly but not so quickly that the polish has time to smudge during painting.
I don't enjoy using nail polish that doesn't last. Avon's has resolved this problem by providing a polish that lasts without chipping and, since it dries so quickly, I don't have to worry about smudges in the paint. And, it is oh, so shiny that my nails always look like they've been freshly painted. Plus, this polish doesn't have nearly as strong an odor as some of the other brands of polish I've sampled.
Avon advertises (on the box) that their polish is glossy, beautiful and stylish with an exclusive high shine nail enamel that cares for your nails with conditioners and moisturizing panthenol. It contains a calcium complex to help promote stronger, healthier looking nails. This long wearing formula bends with the nails to help resist cracks, breaks and chips. Wears for up to ten days with normal touch-ups. Free of formaldehyde. Formulated without toluene.
To Use: Shake well. Apply 2-3 even coats. Let dry thoroughly between coats. (I can get away with one most of the time - using a darker color). Avon's polish is delivered in a nice midnight colored box with the information for use on the back of the box.
I've also sampled Avon's Speed Dry Nail Enamel but prefer the regular product as it allows me to provide a more even coat before clumping. Overall, I believe Avon's nailwear nail enamel is one more quality product that I'll continue to purchase from Avon and I honestly believe most women will approve of this nail polish.
