I am an Avon addict, not only for the fact that it is inexpensive, I don’t have to travel anywhere to get it and they don’t test on animals. I buy a lot of items when they are on sale (I currently have 7 black eyeliners cause each time they are $2.99 I buy them). I generally don’t get into Body Wash or Sprays, but again these were on sale so I thought it would be a good time to try them.
I bought the Gardenia set; shower gel, lotion and body spray all on sale for $2.99. Two weeks later my products arrived to my door via my Avon lady Pam (she is absolutely the best). Immediately I was taken away by the delicious floral scent. I figured this would be refreshing after a shower before bed, not for daytime use. I generally stick to Gucci Rush products for the day.
Avon Naturals Body Spray comes in an 8.4 fl oz. Plastic container, generally the color the coordinates with the fragrance. The Gardenia package is an ivory plastic the actually liquid is yellow and the cap is green. The product is described: Recapture the enchantment of fragrant spring nights. Whisper-light spray drifts about you, lingers lightly.
Other Scents available: Cucumber Melon, Strawberries and Cream, Raspberry, Lily, Peach, Vanilla, Violet, Sea.
Ingredients are listed as (for Gardenia): SD Alcohol 40-B, Water, Fragrance, Gardenia Florida Extract, Triclosan propylene glycol, Benzophenone-2, FD&C Yellow #5, FD&C Red #4.
How would I describe my first use of this…well I did use the shower gel first, then the body lotion and before I got dressed I sprayed the body spray all over my body (probably 5 squirts). I put on my jammys and crawled into bed…needless to say I got a few compliments on smelling delicious from my boyfriend. I have to admit it did smell wonderful. The scent isn’t overpowering, it is light and airy with a great floral scent…like walking through a rose garden…that’s what it reminds me of.
The next day I had to have it on again. Before we went out I put on a few squirts, not figuring it would linger long. When I got to the restaurant my waitress asked me what I was wearing and I had to dish about how wonderful this product is. Within and hour or so though…the product was very hard to detect. It definitely needs reapplying if you plan to wear it all night. Even with the lotion on (which does help keep the scent) I found this is very light and can go undetected. It would be great for an office or just to hang around the house smelling great. I won’t be wearing it out though…I’ll stick with my Gucci Rush.
