Think about your eye shadow collection. If you are like me, you probably have a wide variety of shades and brands. But one thing that is common among them is that if it is an eyeshadow duo or trio, you probably use 1 shade more than the others. And there might be a shade in the group that you don’t like at all. Buying a single shade at time can help eliminate these problems. Buying single eyeshadows instead of multiples can also decrease clutter in your make-up case and decrease the time you keep the eyeshadow, which is more sanitary. These are some of the reasons that I really like Avon True Color Powder Eyeshadow Singles.
The Product:
Avon True Color Powder Eyeshadow Singles are .05 net oz. and come in a dark, bluish purple, snap-close plastic case with a sponge applicator. They are a little larger in size than a matchbook. On the bottom of the case, a sticker provides the color name and lot number. The shadows cost $3.00 each, but are often a part of Avon free gifts. You might find them on sale as well.
The only problem I have with the packaging is that you can't view the shadow through the case. This means it takes a little longer for me to find the color I'm looking for, which is especially annoying when I am in a hurry (i.e., running late!).

My Experience:
I received 2 Avon True Color Powder Eyeshadow Singles as part of a free gift of an Avon order of $40 or more. I ordered on-line at www.avon.com with no problems. The colors I received were champagne and iced mocha. I use the champagne over my entire lid and then the iced mocha along my lower lid. These colors work well together as they are the same shade family (neutral) and consistency (shimmer). These colors are perfect for daytime and the office. I use this eyeshadow at least 4 times per week.
The Avon True Color Powder Eyeshadow Singles are finely milled powders that are easy to apply and blend using the sponge applicator. They wear well and last a long time. I can still see the colors after an 8-hour workday. There is some creasing after about 4 hours of wear, but this can be reduced with an eyeshadow base. My skin type is combination, and I did not have any problems with irritation or breakouts.
Parting Thoughts:
Avon True Color Powder Eyeshadow Singles are above average eyeshadows available at a very reasonable price. They offer a variety of colors in cool, warm, and neutral families. The shimmer eyeshadows are appropriate for daytime or nighttime wear.
I will definitely buy Avon True Color Powder Eyeshadow Singles again.
