| jadzia66's Full Review: Avon Vitamoist Hand Creamnew 4.2 oz |
I am a hand cream junkie. Every single time I wash my hands or put them in water for any reason, I have to put lotion on afterwards. In the winter, I am usually the only one that I know that doesn't have chapped hands, or any dry skin at all. Dry skin gives me the heebie jeebies so you will find lotion in just about every room of my house. Out of all the lotions that I've used over the years, Avon's Vitamoist is my absolute favorite.
All About Avon Vitamoist Hand Cream
This particular Avon Vitamoist review is on the 4.2 ounce tube. This is the size that I usually have although I do have some smaller tubes as well. The directions are the same as they would be with any hand cream that one would buy... Massage smoothly over hands, nails, and cuticles. Reapply after washing.
The ingredients in Avon Vitamoist Hand Cream are as follows:
water, glycol stearate, glycerin, isopropyl palmitate, dimethicone, myristyl myristate, peg-40 stearate, stearyl alcohol, mineral oil, steareth-2, benzyl alcohol, methylparaben, triethanolamine, tetrasodium edta, carbomer, panthenol, fragrance, retinyl palmitate, tocopheryl acetate, yellow 10, red 33.
Avon Vitamoist Hand Cream also has an extra boost of Vitamins E, A and Provitamin B5.
Why I recommend Avon Vitamoist Hand Cream
I've used a lot of lotions over the years. Both hand creams and body lotions. The one I go back to time and time again is Avon Vitamoist. One of the reasons why I like this hand cream so much is that is absorbs quickly and doesn't leave your hands feeling greasy. It also just works better. The skin on my hands is extremely soft and smooth. I don't have any dry skin that will catch on anything, such as fabric when I'm folding clothes (shudders at the very thought!). The ultimate test for me is how many times do I have to apply lotion after doing dishes, when my hands are wrinkled from spending too much time in hot soapy water. Other hand lotions that I've used require 3 or 4 applications to get rid of the ultra dry feeling that my hands get. Avon Vitamoist Hand Cream requires, at most, only 2 applications.
In the winter, when my skin is especially dry all over, I also use Avon Vitamoist on my arms, legs, and feet after a shower. It spreads quite well as it's not too thick but it's not too thin either. In the summer I also use it on my legs after I shave.
Another summertime plus about Avon Vitamoist is that it doesn't really have much of a scent. I have to watch what I use in the summer because of my bee allergy (I carry my trusty epi pen with me at all times). I can't wear anything that will attract bees, so all my lotions, creams, deodorants, etc... have only neutral type fragrances, such as baby powder scent or shower fresh scent. I can use Avon Vitamoist without a problem because of it's light neutral scent.
Overall, I highly recommend Avon Vitamoist. My aunt sends me a rubbermaid container for Christmas every year that is completely filled with Vitamoist and I try to make it last a year. I usually run out sometime the following December and wait anxiously for Christmas to come so that I can be stocked up again.
