The Bottom Line: If your child is petite, this is a good little chair. I would not recommend it for someone who has a tall or large child. It is good for traveling.
I bought this potty from Babies R Us for $10 when my daughter was about 17 months old. We kept it in the family room and she has played with it a lot. I also purchased another potty chair (a 3 in one style) for the bathroom. Now it is just under a year later and we've recently begun potty training. She prefers this chair to the other and actually uses the other as a step stool to sit on the toilet (without the special adapter device).
I bought it as the "get used to the potty" potty. I wanted something small - my daughter is indeed petite. A her 2 year appointment she was 25% for height and 5% in weight, so it isn't for a really big (or possibly even average) kid. But it is perfect for us. I wanted something that we could bring in the car, easy to clean, compact for car trips, vacations, camping, long weekends, etc.
I love the simple design of it. Easy to clean - all one piece of molded plastic - even fits under the bathroom sink faucet to rinse off. It goes outside easily and she uses it out there when nature calls. It also "matches" the potties in the video "Once Upon a Potty" let me tell you, she was delighted to have a matching potty with the kids and proudly carried it to the TV and sat on it and produced! She is also able to carry it to the bathroom without spilling on her own.
Dislikes, well it stuck to her bum and spilled pee the first day (I watch for it now and we've not had a problem). I don't think it could hold her volume of poo.
