| sgtwyatt's Full Review: BFGoodrich Traction T/A H Tire |
After researching several all-season high-performance tires I finally decided to purchase the BF Goodrich Traction T/A H-rated tires (22560R16). Although as of right now I have put very few miles on them (about 250) I must say that so far I have been absolutely thrilled with their performance.
My vehicle is a 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS which I purchased new in 2/2001 and which originally came with Goodyear Eagle RS-A H-rated tires of the same size. Even when new, the Goodyear tires provided mediocre dry handling, poorer wet handling, and abysmal snow handling. Hydroplaning was easy even at lower speeds, cornering resulted in squealing and skidding even on dry pavement...overall I was very displeased with the Goodyear tires. Of course, this review is not about these tires.
From the moment I hit the road with the new BF Goodrich Traction T/A's I could feel the difference. Their dry pavement handling is amazing and I have yet to be able to make them squeal even while trying. You can feel the difference between the Goodyear tires and--at a lower pricetag--the difference is all that much more noticeable. I have also had the opportunity to drive in the rain with these tires and I must say that their wet traction is excellent! Even when cornering on very wet roads, these tires live up to their name. I feel more in control with these tires on my vehicle than ever before.
At $83/ea from TireRack.com (where I purchased from) I feel these were a steal. Although I have yet to drive them in the snow or put enough miles on them to verify their treadlife, I have already been impressed with their performance and at this point would recommend them to anyone in the market for new performance all-season tires.
