| charles's Full Review: BF Goodrich All Terrain TA KO Truck/SUV Tire |
The last event you want to happen to you on the way to your office is a flat tire caused by some useless metalic debris strategically strewn to test the reliability of your tire. As for me, I have this unannounced problem taken care for quite some time now. My perspectives on tires changed after a flat tire in a Honda Civic that sent it to the right lane. Fortunately for me, the lane was not occupied by any Semis or cars. When it was time for me to purchase my Jeep, it was such a relief! I started out with the BFG All Terrain T/A. So far, I have never had any problems with flat tires at the most inopportune time.
Just a few months ago, I realized that one of my vehicle's rear tires had a nail, a huge one in it. For all that time, I never even felt there was a problem. Since that tire somewhat started to wear out, I decided to change it. So I called a few tire places around town to see what they could offer me. To my surprise, none was carrying BFG All Terrain T/A. I went to Cosco to browse among their rows of tires. When the clerk came out, he announced to my dismay that the store could not carry them at this time due to the non-flexibility in the price. Where does this news leave me? I am back to square 1.
In fact, I could have opted to change all the tires. My wife only has praises for Michelin tires. Their price is less that that of the Goodrich. I decided to look again. This time, I chose other resources.
Finally, I found a store in a nearby town that is willing to order them for me from LA. I did not care about waiting for 3 weeks. All the while, I was using my Jeep with the nail in the tire.
This is my introduction to TA KO. The clerck called me to say that the tire had arrived. So far, I have enjoyed the feeling and the way these BF tires grip the pavement. It does not matter where I am driving: dirt, river beds, trails to camp sites, and fruit groves etc. Believe me, I make these babies work!
Why I like these BF tires
My wife knows she can't change my mind even when we both find a good deal on other tires brand. I guess it is just a question of feeling safe when you are ready to hit the road amidst all kinds of aggressive drivers. It matters to me that I have the edge, yes, the security of the tires on my vehicle. The treads on these BF (T/A) or TA KO are excellent. They tend to have that extrovert personality. In fact, they scream to everybody out there: "Here I am, ready to go the distance in all conditions." I enjoy the design of the side walls which keep punctures at a distance. It is a rigid design that keeps your mind off the pavement. That's the least of your worries!
I recommend these tires to anybody out there!
