dmatsumo's Full Review: BIC DECFP41-ASST: Great Erase ® Bold Pocket-S...
My son often uses a Crayola Activity Board to practice his letters. We also take it with us to restaurants so we can play games like Dots and Tic Tac Toe. Well, after constant usage over the past year, the markers that come with the board are completely shot. And buying a new set is almost as expensive as the board + markers!
We found a great deal on the Bic Great Erase Bold "dry erase" markers on Amazon, and didn't hesitate to order them. Today, we decided to play some Dots, but couldn't find his activity board, so we opened a brand new one that we were keeping around for his younger brother.
I picked the orange marker, and wasn't happy with it because it wasn't very easy to see on the board. He picked red, and even that didn't look great.
Moments into the game, he wanted to erase a drawing that he had made on the board, only to realize that the marker doesn't erase!
So although this little snafu is completely my fault, I wanted everyone to know that not all dry-erase markers are the same. Test on a small area first! The marker box says it's good for glass, whiteboards, and most non-porous surfaces. Apparently, the Crayola Activity Board is porous. :)
