Pros:Smooth shave, comfortable to hold
Cons:scented handles not necessary, blade doesn't pivot like refillables
The Bottom Line: I had nice results from these disposable razors. I'll buy them again!
I was recently in need of new razors. I have been using Schick Quattro refillable razors for quite a while, but I didn’t have enough cash on me. I tend to steer clear of disposable razors, but being that there was a sale, I gave decided to give Bic Soleil Twilight 3 Blade Razors a try.

The Bic Soleil comes with a 4 pack of disposable razors. Each razor in the package is a different color – three are shades of pink and the fourth is purple. Each is made with a contoured plastic handle. There is a rubber grip on the top of the razor handle where your fingers will rest when shaving your legs. There is another soft rubber grip under the handle that makes it easy to hold the razor when shaving underarms. Each razor has three blades. There is also a lubricating strip with lanolin and vitamin E. The razor handles are scented with lavender.
I was pretty hesitant to use a disposable razor. I haven’t had luck with them in the past. I’m concerned they’ll perform poorly and cut my legs. As it turned out the Bic Soleil didn’t live up to those expectations. I got the opposite of what I expected and I am very impressed with the results. The handles are easy to hold and control while in the shower. I get a great shave on my legs and underarms. Even with a brand new blade I didn’t get any cuts and ended up with smooth legs that lasted for a couple days. The thing I wasn’t used to was the fact that a refillable razor will have a pivoting blade, but a disposable doesn’t pivot. Shaving around areas like the knees is a little different without the pivoting blade.
I don’t really get the need for the scented handles. They do smell like lavender, and I can get a slight whiff when I shave under my arms, but that scent is kind of combined with the smell of shaving cream. It’s just not necessary. I don’t know if the lanolin and vitamin E strip helps at all. I normally exfoliate my legs prior to shaving and I use shaving cream.
I am pretty impressed with Bic Soleil Twilight 3 Blade Razors. I did not expect to get such good results from a disposable razor. The regular price was $7.99 but I got them on sale for a couple dollars cheaper. That’s not too bad considering that the cost for refillable blades exceeds ten dollars. The scented handles aren’t really necessary, but I would still purchase this four pack of women’s disposable razors again.
