Pros: Ease of use; comfort & security for baby; freedom for you.

Cons: Can get HOT; may be too confining for older babies; price.

The Bottom Line: I highly recommend the Baby Bjorn if you plan to take your baby out on errands or walks. Just take care that you both don't get overheated.

For babies 8 lbs / 21 inches through 22 lbs. Not only can you carry your baby while leaving your hands completely free, but your baby will feel comforted being so close to your body. Wearing your baby on walks is a terrific way to drop post-pregnancy weight. Also, this was a guaranteed way to get my baby to sleep during the day.

PROS
* Easy to adjust to your body (strap cross should be just below your shoulder blades).
* Easy to adjust as your baby grows.
* Easy to put on/take off (although it may take you some time to get used to putting your baby in the carrier).
* Inward-facing position gives baby a sense of security.
* Baby's head is well cradled.
* Very comfortable to wear over a long period of time.
* Extremely well manufactured.

CONS
* A little expensive.
* Both you and your baby can get VERY hot. I purchased the black model; I'd recommend purchasing a lighter color if you'll be wearing your baby during warm/sunny months. Even with a lighter color, however, your mutual body heat can make things a little uncomfortable after a while.
* If you don't get your baby used to being in the carrier from an early age, he/she may dislike the "confined" feeling.
* Older babies may be frustrated with inward-facing position, as they can only see out by turning their heads to either side.
