Pros:My son likes it, it's easy to use
The Bottom Line: The Baby Bjorn toilet trainer seat has been working great for us, and it is very easy to use as well.
My sister in law just passed her Baby Bjorn toilet trainer seat on to us a few months ago. My nephew was successfully potty trained upon it. I washed it of course and began use just last month. We have been having great results. My son was scared of his talking potty seat and due to that he would not sit on the small potty chairs any more. He insisted on the big toilet and so this was a big help for us. I will give you the details!

Details and facts:
The Baby Bjorn toilet trainer seat is white in color. It has blue trim around the edge of the seat and a teddy bear just at the back top of the seat. The front of the Baby Bjorn toilet trainer seat has a lip that flows in a curve upwards. This helps to prevent splashes! This potty seat would be great for any gender. They do sell this potty seat in characters as well at Walmart here in Rhode Island for about $20.00-$25.00 if I remember right.
This potty seat fits on top of all standard size toilet seats. It can be very easily adjusted from the top to fit the right way. The soft rubber edges together with the wings on the underside to keep the potty seat in place over the existing toilet seat. You will know for sure that it is in place if you feel the wings go in and the seat will not wobble to either side. This seat is cushion on top, there are no harmful bits of plastic to hurt or pinch your child.
The Baby Bjorn toilet trainer seat does have warnings. First of all it is not for children under the age of two years old unless supervised at all times. Do not leave your child unattended. The Baby Bjorn toilet trainer seat is not a toy and can be removed with the right amount of force by a small child causing them to fall in to the open toilet should you not be there to watch them. Please follow the requirements and pay close attention to these warnings for the safety of your little one.
To clean it is rather simple. You could either wash it in the sink or tub if it is really soiled. Or just wipe it clean. I use disinfectant wipes and follow with a baby wipe just to be sure. It is very easy to wipe andmaintain and does not stain. Or at least has not so far.
How well it holds up:
The Baby Bjorn toilet trainer seat is solid. It is harder on the bottom and more cushioned at the top. But it will not rip or break very easily. This is the second child to use this potty seat that we have and it looks like new with out a mark or break on it what so ever! So yes, I would say that the Baby Bjorn toilet trainer seat hold up very well.
How it's been working:
We have a step stool that my son who is 23 months old climbs up on to. He turns himself around and sits himself down on the seat. He has no trouble, it took him twice before he knew exactly what he was expected to do to get u on to the seat with out help. When he is not using the potty the stool and potty seat are placed in my bath tub so he can't get them out and attempt to get on the toilet alone. I also have a toilet lock for safety. Trust me, once your child knows how to get up there, they may try to do it alone. So please follow my lead and take proper precautions!
My son has gone number 1 successful about 3 dozen or more times, he has gone number 2 twice. He has issues with me being there while he is doing that. However, when he goes number one it used to spray every where in the floor potty. With the Baby Bjorn toilet trainer seat having a lip up front it splashes up it and back down in to the potty with out messing the toilet seat or my son. That is a victory!
Taking the Baby Bjorn toilet trainer seat is simple. It will fit in to a large sized diaper bag or in a plastic shopping bag for you to take with you on the go. We take ours with us every where. You never know what is on a public toilet seat. I have to admit that I even gave it to my six year old to sit on once in a McDonald's because I did not like the looks of the bathroom! So it does come in handy to have it with you. It also keeps potty training going no matter where you go. Consistency is the key! The fact that it fits on pretty much every toilet means that you can use it any place that you would like to.
My thoughts and recommendations:
The Baby Bjorn toilet trainer seat has been a huge help to my son. He has number 1 down and not yet on the number 2. However for being 23 months old I feel that is very good and I am very proud of him for doing so well. He has no trouble using this seat at all and he reminds me to take it when we go out. He says "Mommy me potty see" Translation "Mommy my potty seat"
I am glad that my sister in law passed the Baby Bjorn toilet trainer seat on t us. I like that it is comfortable and fits my son well. I love the fact that it is so easy to put on and take off virtually any seat. I have not used it on any seat that it did not fit yet. I would certainly recommend the Baby Bjorn toilet trainer seat, it's really working great for us.
