| Debbietipton's Full Review: Baby Orajel Teething Pain Medicine |
Orajel was always something that I used on my children when they were teething. I have seven of them and it has really never let me down yet. But, after a doctors warning, I used it both sparingly and cautiously. When my daughter was younger, her doctor told us that by using to much of the gel, it could numb the baby's throat just as it did the gums. This could then make it difficult for the baby to swallow, which could in turn cause them to choke.
While I do believe in this product and did continue to use it with my daughter and my Otto children to follow, I was a bit more careful in both the amount I used and how closely I watched them afterwords.
The reasons that I continued to use this product are simple.
The product worked quickly to give my children some much needed relief. I found it to work for long enough periods of time that some much need rest was also granted. I was confident enough in myself not to use to much as to have any of the problems that my doctor stated could happen if to much was given. I also found that I was more comfortable with this product than in using the wiskey or other such products that my parents had used on us as children. Now, I am not saying that is good or bad, I am just stating what I felt more comfortable with.
Orajel is to be used for the temporary relief of soar gums when your child is teething. It can also be used by adult who are suffering from tooth pain and even comes in an adult strength formula. It is recommended that you not use this product on children under the age of four months.
Orajel teething gel is a fruit flavored gel that will help to give immediate relief from the pain of teething and this is normally done on contact.

My Final Thoughts:
Orajel is a wonderful product to use on your child as long as it is used carefully and appropriately. It will help you to maintain a calm and happy child during those difficult teething months. And, as we all know, A Happy Baby is A Healthy Baby! I used orajel as a mother and am sure that I will use it as a grandmother as well.
